In brief: It’s a much finer road with friends on it, as in Astana
We have been fortunate to meet interesting people throughout our travels and maintain friendships long after. Especially in a country new to us, it’s wonderful to connect with them again, as we were fortunate to do in Astana.
Here we spent time with a Kazakh friend who shared many pleasant days with us while we were both living in Tbilisi. A bit of wine, a bit of food and a lot of conversation, all made for a warm reunion of good friends.
Our friend wanted a final photo of us. The sunset and the electronic sign made it perfect.
