One of our greatest enjoyments is to explore the natural world where we are. That was a big reason for driving along the coastal landscape of eastern Uruguay, with its inland lakes and wetlands (in addition to its endless beaches). In these places we found many birds like these.

Roseate spoonbill
Southern screamer
Rhea, or llandu
