It had been 19 years since we lived in central Italy for six months (2006). Then we called Todi, Umbria our home as a base to enjoy the country – from the Lakes in the north to Naples and Sorrento in the south; from Pisa in the west to Ancona and the Adriatic on the east. That was all before we started writing in this blog.
This time we re-visited Rome with a major Caravaggio exhibit as the principal objective…and a bit of dolce far niente. We stayed across the Tiber in Trastevere, much changed since we first discovered it, but a pleasure to experience in full.
