Dec. 1st Transfer to the Pakse airport. Upon arrival in Siem Reap we’ll be met and transferred to our hotel. Two nights accommodations at Royal Bay Inn.

Dec. 2nd Today’s tour of the Angkor temples includes Angkor Thom with Bayon, Elephants Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. We’ll also visit Ta Prohm, where giant banyan tree roots have overgrown the labyrinth of stone hallways, and Preah Khan. This evening we’ll attend a dinner and dance performance at the Angkor Village Theatre or Angkor Century.

Dec. 3rd This morning we’ll travel through the Khmer countryside to the remote Beng Mealea temple. Following a box lunch we’ll depart for the 10th century capital of Koh Ker. While our camp is being set up, we’ll visit the pyramid temple of Prasat Thom, as well as Prasat Krahom and other temples in the region. Overnight camping within the temple area in a double tent.

Dec. 4th Transfer to Phnom Kulen and take the pilgrim path up the sacred mountain of the Khmers. We will swim in the waterfall before continuing our hike to the summit of the mountain. Overnight camp at a mountain pagoda.

Dec. 5th In the early morning we’ll walk through a high-grass meadow, limestone clearing and deep jungle to the site of Srah Dumrei, and immense monolith sandstone from the 10th century. Depart the mountain summit via vehicle and arrive at Kbal Spean, the sculptured river of the “thousand lingas.” After walking through the site we’ll travel by vehicle to Banteay Srei, which many consider to be the most beautiful of the Angkor temples. Return to Siem Reap for an aromatherapy or reflexology massage. One night accommodation at Royal Bay Inn.

Dec. 6th This morning we’ll visit Lake Ton Le Sap where we’ll take a boat ride to see floating villages and fish farms. We’ll then visit Angkor Wat before transferring to the Siem Reap airport for our flight to Phnom Penh. Two nights accommodations at The Pavilion

Dec. 7th Today’s full day Phnom Penh tour includes the National Museum, the Royal Palace with its Silver Pagoda, ToulSlengMuseum, the Killing Fields and the Russian Market.

Dec. 8th This morning we’ll travel overland to Sihanoukville. The afternoon is at leisure. Three nights accommodations at Sokha Beach Resort.

Dec. 9th Today’s dive excursion takes us to either Koh Rong or Koh Rong Sanleom (depending upon weather conditions).

Dec. 10th Day at leisure to enjoy the beach.

Dec. 11th Travel overland to Phnom Penh and transfer to the airport for our flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).
